In reply to Chris's post on January 5, I have also found that is does this when you click on a cell and drag the contents to another cell.
It gives you the same error message, but then performs the function. I also tried this in Word by inserting an Excel Spreadsheet and perform the same functions.
I got the same error message. I started receiving this error with Windows 7 and Office I did a fresh install, deleted partition and everything, of Windows 7 and Office and still get this error. It does not do it all the time. I can move a cell with no error and then move another one and get the error.
